Formed from an ad placed in the Minden Courier in May of 1984 by Susan Hoff, inviting anyone interested in forming a community theater to come forward. The ad also introduced the name of the first MCP production: Oklahoma. A cast was selected, and the first performance was on August 1st. The show was a huge success and we were off to a great start.

Minden, known as "The Christmas City", is a picturesque small town located on the wide-open prairie of south central Nebraska. It was settled by Danish, Swedish, and German immi- grants. It was incorporated in 1883. The community is proud of its progressive heritage.
