Kearney artist Jeff Montag painted this stunning 22.5″ x 18.5″ framed oil portrait as a fundraiser for the Minden Opera House. It would make a stunning addition to anyone’s home over the holiday season. The Kearney County Courthouse has been decorated for over 100 years, and this portrait is a gorgeous representation of the site that has been enjoyed thousands of visitors for more than a century. To make a difference in our organization, please bid on this art piece, give a cash donation, pre-order a print, or simply share this auction on your social media using the hashtag, #charityauction. Winner will be announced Nov. 24th.

From Jeff:¬†Living here in Central Nebraska, we sometimes forget the jewels we have right around us. In this time of suburban sprawl, very few people know what it is to have a town center. We have forgotten what it is to know where the core of our town is and a sense of¬† shared culture. For those who live here, this is their community, their home. For others, this is the ideal and what I want to give everyone — this sense of belonging and the peace and comfort that community can give.

In addition, Jeff has made available ready-to-frame prints measuring 11″ x 14″. You can pre-order on the auction site below. They will be available for pick up and purchase at MOH after Nov. 30 (can be shipped for an additional $5.00).

If you would like to place a bid but do not want to do so online, or to pre-order a print, call the Opera House office at 308-832-0588. Many thanks to Jeff Montag for this great fundraiser!
