The evening begins with the reading of the “Polar Express” book followed by cookies & hot chocolate and a special appearance by Santa Claus. The feature film follows the refreshments. This event is geared toward families with children ages 4th grade and under. Children are welcome to bring their pillows and come dressed in their pajamas for this evening of Christmas magic. - Limit 10 tickets per customer.
- No physical tickets will be given. A purchase confirmation will be mailed or emailed. That confirmation will need to be brought to the event.
- Customers will present a valid ID and purchase confirmation for admission.
- If a customer wishes to give tickets to another party, they will need to call the Opera House office to notify them of the change.

There is no party like an 80s party!! RetroActive plays those iconic songs from the 80s that you know and love. Whether you’re into the pop tunes of Madonna and Michael Jackson, the hair metal of Poison and Bon Jovi, the dance hits of Prince and Salt-n-Pepa, or iconic 80s rock from bands like Journey and Guns ‘N Roses, you can be sure that this night will be totally tubular. Kevin Cheng was born and raised in Taiwan. Kevin came to Nebraska Christian School in Central City to study as a sophomore. While in high school, he has invited as guest pianist to play with Hastings Symphony. Kevin studied music at UNK and while there, performed as guest soloist with Lincoln Symphony, Kearney Symphony, Sandhills Symphony, and Cherokee Symphony. Kevin has also served as guest pianist to work with Kearney High School Orchestra and Grand Island Senior High School Orchestra. He has received an Arts Council grant to premier Mendelssohn Piano Concerto in A Minor in the United States.
Heidi Cheng was born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska as the youngest of six children. During high school, Heidi studied violin with Connie Moon while playing in Kearney Symphony Orchestra and Kearney Chamber Orchestra. Heidi performed at Masterworks Festival in Indiana in 2013. While serving as therapist in Kearney after college, she has also served as the principal second violinist in Kearney Symphony Orchestra.
