Presented by the Minden Community Players:  THE ADDAMS FAMILY musical features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s ‘normal’ boyfriend and his parents. Some content may not be appropriate for young childrenFor more information about the Minden Community Players, CLICK HERE.

Josh Lovelace & Friends

Saturday Nov 10, 2018 7:00 pm

Josh Lovelace at the Minden Opera House, Minden NE on Nov. 10

Many people will know Josh Lovelace as the man who plays keyboards in the Grammy-nominated and multiple Dove Award-winning rock band NEEDTOBREATHE. What many people may not know is that Josh has written a family record for kids & their grown-ups titled Young Folk. Young Folk is the fruit of a lifelong passion for children’s music, as well as his desire to create music that kids and adults could enjoy together. In a sense, Young Folk began when Lovelace started making up songs to sing around the house with Henry. The album, like parenthood itself, holds a variety of moods and styles: songs of encouragement (“It’s Okay Margo”), advice (“Eat Your Vegetables”), and idealism (the gospel-inspired “Climb A Tree”), as well as light-hearted tales of hungry animals (“A Bear In the Woods”) and itchy facial hair (the funky, horn-driven “Daddy’s Beard”).
